The Admirals Hockey Club is proud to announce the addition of Carla Pentimone as the Admirals’ Girls Hockey Director. Carla is currently a USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Hockey Director. In addition, she works closely with USA Hockey and AHAI teaching and coaching at various coaching clinics and district camps. Carla is the President of the Rolling Flames Wheelchair Hockey and works with The Chicago Blackhawks Blind Hockey program where she received their Leadership Award for the 2015-2016 season.
Carla grew up in the Chicago area playing Tier I and Tier II hockey, and she fully understands the importance of proper development in order for kids to be able to reach their full potential. As a young hockey player, Carla participated in USA Hockey’s 17/18 Team Development Camp.
Carla played Division I college hockey for the two-time National Champion Wisconsin Badgers, under former Olympic Gold Medalist, Mark Johnson and with two-time Olympic silver medalists, Meghan Duggan, Hillary Knight and Brianna Decker. In her senior year, Carla earned the Senior Badger Award for Most Inspiring Player.
“Carla Pentimone demonstrates the Admirals’ continued commitment toward girls hockey, and we look forward to our Club becoming the destination of choice for girls hockey in Illinois. Carla is an advocate of USA Hockey’s LTAD and ADM programs and is a great fit for our organization.” – Dan Kennedy (President, Admirals Hockey Club).
Parents and players are invited to meet Carla on Monday, June 6, at 8:00PM in the upstairs warm room at Center Ice. A free skate for Girls U10-U19 players will follow from 8:30-9:30PM.
