One local tournament is included for all Squirt – Bantam players, with optional tournaments for Girls and Midgets and in-house games for Mites.
Tryouts are March 19-23, and spring programming runs April 3–May 31. Online registration will open by March 1.
See below for details by level and Frequently Asked Questions.
Are spring league teams being offered?
All players will have weekly skills with games available through tournaments and/or scrimmages. League-based teams will not be offered this spring so that our players can focus on skills and have the time to participate in other sports and activities. For the fall season, the Admirals will continue to offer NIHL and NWHL teams at all youth and girls levels plus Mite 8U, ADML for Mite 6U, and Pre-Hockey.
When are tryouts and what if my player cannot attend?
Each level will have tryout skates the week of March 19 to determine spring program placement. If your player cannot attend, the player must register online between March 1-19 and send an email to Susan Gawley regarding the absence from tryouts.
What if I want to play another sport or participate in another hockey training program or camp this spring?
Players are encouraged to play other sports and enjoy other activities. The spring program is designed to allow weekly skill development with the flexibility to try other sports and activities.
Who is coaching the spring programs?
Our coaches are focused on playoffs with their fall teams, so the spring coaching staff will be posted in March.
As of March 13, the spring coaching staff is posted here.
What is the format of the spring program?
Development is the emphasis with weekly skills sessions, small area games, and bi-weekly goalie clinics by level. All Squirt through Bantam players will also participate in one local tournament. Midget and Girls teams may participate in a tournament or scrimmages. 8U and 6U Mites will have ½ ice games.
How are tournament teams selected?
The hockey directors and coaches will evaluate and select players for tournament teams. All Squirt through Bantam players have one local tournament included in the spring program cost. Midget and Girls teams may enter a tournament at additional cost.
When does spring registration open? How are spring payments handled?
Online registration for spring programs will open on the Admirals website by March 1. All players must register and pay online prior to tryouts.
