Open board position for Director of Communications

In an effort to improve our internal and external communications, the Admirals Hockey Club is looking to fill the newly created Board of Directors position of Director of Communications

We are looking for an energetic, experienced communications professional to join our Board of Directors and provide direction on media relations, social media strategy, content marketing, and reputation management. Combining your business savvy and PR genius, you’ll look for creative ways to share feature stories, manage the Club’s news releases, public service announcements, advertising, photography, video promotion programs and special events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Admirals Hockey Club website content, and leverage social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Develop and execute innovative communications / PR and publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the club
  • Speak and write knowledgeably on the Admirals ADM program, and develop “ADM Topic of the Month”
  • Develop and maintain eNewsletters; oversight of E-Mail broadcasts; Customized Mini-Sites; and all related electronic opportunities.
  • Maintain current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the hockey community to gain cooperation, respect, and earn a reputation as a source of reliable, newsworthy information.
