The Little Blackhawks Learn to Play program is an 8 week program for 4-8 year olds who have prior skating knowledge and would like to try playing with full equipment for the first time. In cooperation with the Chicago Blackhawks, NHL, NHLPA, CCM, and Total Hockey, participants receive on-ice instruction from certified coaches and Blackhawks alumni, along with a FREE Little Blackhawks branded gear package. The package includes a hockey helmet with cage, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, skates, jersey, socks, stick, and equipment bag. This program will be fun and exciting for new players and follow the tenets of the American Development Model (ADM) learn to play hockey program.
The first 8 week session will start March 17th and end April 14th (with an off week March 31). Classes will be held on Saturdays from 12pm-1pm at Carol Stream Ice Rink. Registration for each session is capped at 50 skaters, and the program is currently full with a wailist.
