Thank you for attending the Admirals Hockey Club's spring tryouts this week! With such strong attendance, the Club will field 19 teams at the Mite-Midget levels, including Girls U12/U14.
Coaches or team managers will contact players with preliminary schedules and other team information. There is ice available for the weekend of March 23-24, and the official spring season begins April 1. The full schedule of practices, skills, and games will be posted to the online Admirals calendar as soon as it is finalized.
The Admirals Spring 2013 program is designed for optimal skill development. Teams will be fielded at all levels, Mites-Midgets including Girls U12 & U14.
Players in Mites-Bantams and Girls U12 & U14 will participate in skill sessions based on USA Hockey’s long-term athlete development approach (ADM), along with team practices, 4x4 showcases for small area game training, and goalie clinics. Mites-Bantams will participate in the South West Spring League (SWSL), which plays 6 games (3 home and 3 away) and a 3-game round robin playoff series, and the first teams selected at each level may be fielded as tournament teams (excluding Mites). Girls U12 & 14 will have scrimmage games and a potential tournament. The Midget program will focus on team practices, goalie clinics, 4x4 showcases, and tournaments.
Tryouts/Evaluations will be held March 18-21, with the spring season running April 1–June 2 for all teams. The SWSL games run from April 5–May 19, with playoffs the first weekend in June.
Players will try out for their appropriate age level and will be placed on a best players, best team concept. All players will make a team - there are NO cuts.
Head Coaches and Skills Instructors are posted under Coaches. Assistant Coaches will be announced before the season begins.
