NIHL - Northern Illinois Hockey League

The Admirals participate in the Tier II, Northern Illinois Hockey League, for Travel AA/A teams. Players will try-out for their appropriate age level and will be placed on a “best players, best team” concept with individual player ice time earned and potentially not balanced. If selected for a NIHL team, players on average will skate 4-5 times per week between practices and games (ice times for Midget teams will vary). Players at the Squirt-Bantam level should expect approximately 100 hours of ice.

Players who are playing on a NIHL team for the first time at the Admirals need to be aware of AHAI's Tier II Two Choice rule.
